Gather colored paper, scissors, glue, pencil, and a skewer or wire stem
Cut a paper square
Draw a spiral on the square
Cut along the spiral line
Roll the outer end of the spiral tightly toward the center
Release slightly to form petals
Glue the inner end to secure the rose shape
Cut a small circle or oval for the base
Glue the rose onto the base
Wrap green paper around the skewer or wire for the stem
Attach the stem to the base
Cut and shape green paper leaves
Glue the leaves to the stem
Fluff and adjust the petals as needed
