Gather paper, scissors or a craft knife, a ruler, a pencil, glue or a glue stick, a toothpick or skewer, and clear varnish or sealant if desired
Cut the paper into long, narrow triangles or strips
Place the wide end of the paper against the toothpick or skewer
Roll the paper tightly around the toothpick or skewer
Keep rolling until you reach the pointed end
Apply a small amount of glue to the final tip
Press the tip down to secure the bead
Slide the bead off the toothpick or skewer
Let the bead dry completely
Repeat the process to make more beads
Seal the beads with varnish or clear glue if desired
String the beads onto thread, wire, or elastic to make jewelry or crafts
