Shuck the corn and remove the silk
Rinse the cob under cool water
Stand the cob upright in a large bowl
Hold the top of the cob firmly with one hand
Use a sharp knife to slice downward along the cob
Rotate the cob and repeat until all kernels are removed
Use a bundt pan or small bowl placed inside a larger bowl for extra stability if needed
Scrape the back of the knife over the cob to remove remaining corn milk and kernels
Check for any missed kernels and cut them off
Use the kernels immediately or store them in an airtight container
