Open the Instagram app on your Android device
Tap your profile picture in the bottom right
Tap the menu icon in the top right
Tap Settings and privacy
Tap Accounts Center
Tap Personal details
Tap Account ownership and control
Tap Deactivation or deletion
Select the Instagram account you want to deactivate
Choose Deactivate account
Tap Continue
Follow the prompts to confirm your password
Select a reason for deactivation
Tap Continue
Tap Deactivate account to confirm
