How to Deadhead Snapdragons?

Wait until flowers fade, wilt, or turn brown

Follow the flower stem down to the first set of healthy leaves or a side shoot

Pinch, snip, or cut off the spent flower spike just above that point

Use clean, sharp scissors or pruning snips

Remove any dead, damaged, or diseased blooms at the same time

Deadhead regularly to encourage more blooms

Check plants every few days during peak flowering

Dispose of removed flower spikes if they are diseased

Stop deadheading if you want the plant to set seed
