Empty the coffee maker and remove any used filter
Fill the water reservoir with equal parts white vinegar and water
Place an empty carafe on the warming plate
Turn the coffee maker on and run a full brew cycle
Turn the machine off and let the vinegar solution sit for 15 to 30 minutes
Turn the machine back on and finish the cycle if needed
Discard the vinegar solution from the carafe
Rinse the reservoir thoroughly with clean water
Fill the reservoir with fresh water only
Run one or two full brew cycles with plain water
Discard the rinse water after each cycle
Wipe the exterior and carafe clean
Repeat the decalcifying process every 1 to 3 months, depending on water hardness
