Unplug the coffee pot and let it cool completely
Empty any coffee grounds, filters, and leftover coffee
Mix equal parts white vinegar and water
Fill the water reservoir with the vinegar solution
Place the empty carafe on the warming plate
Run a full brew cycle
Turn off the machine and let the solution sit for 15 to 30 minutes
Pour out the solution from the carafe
Run one to two full cycles with clean water
Wash the carafe, filter basket, and removable parts with warm soapy water
Rinse all parts thoroughly
Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth
Repeat monthly or as needed
