Check your Breville model’s manual for the recommended descaling method and descaling solution
Empty the water tank and remove any water filter
Mix the descaling solution with water according to the product instructions, or use white vinegar only if your manual allows it
Fill the water tank with the descaling mixture
Place a large container under the coffee outlet and steam wand if applicable
Turn on the machine and start the descaling cycle or brew cycle
Run part of the solution through the machine, then pause for the recommended soak time if your model requires it
Continue running the remaining solution through the machine
Empty the container and repeat the process with fresh water
Rinse the water tank thoroughly and refill with clean water
Run several full water cycles through the machine until no descaling residue remains
Wipe the exterior, drip tray, and removable parts clean
Reinstall the water filter if used and reset the descaling alert if your model has one
