Open the PDF in a PDF editor with permission to remove security
Enter the password when prompted
Go to the document’s security or protection settings
Select the option to remove password protection
Save the PDF as a new file
If using Adobe Acrobat, open Properties, then Security, and set Security Method to No Security
If using Microsoft Print to PDF or another virtual printer, print the unlocked PDF to create a new unprotected copy
If you do not have the password or permission, request access from the file owner
