Select the text you want to format as a block quote
Open the Paragraph settings in Word
Increase the left indent
Increase the right indent if needed
Set the line spacing if required by your style guide
Remove quotation marks if your format does not use them for block quotes
Apply italic formatting only if required by your citation style
Use the ruler or paragraph dialog to adjust spacing and indentation
Keep the block quote formatted consistently with the rest of the document
