How to Delete Horizontal Line in Word?

Place the cursor in the paragraph directly above the horizontal line

Press Backspace

Or place the cursor in the paragraph directly below the horizontal line

Press Delete

If the line is a border, place the cursor in the paragraph above it

Go to Home

Select Borders

Choose No Border

If the line was created by typing three hyphens, three underscores, or three equal signs and pressing Enter, press Ctrl+Z immediately

If needed, select the line and press Delete

If the line is inside a table, remove the table border from Table Design

If the line is a shape, click the line and press Delete
