How to Do a Douche?

Avoid douching unless a clinician specifically recommends it

Wash your hands before and after any genital care

If using a prescribed douche, follow the product and clinician instructions exactly

Use only the solution recommended by a clinician or product label

Do not use hot water, soap, vinegar, peroxide, or other homemade mixtures

Use the smallest amount of fluid instructed

Insert the applicator gently and only as directed
