Use a clean vaginal pH test swab or pH strip
Follow the product instructions exactly
Gently insert the swab into the vagina, usually about 1 to 2 inches
Press the swab against the vaginal wall for the recommended time
Remove the swab and compare it to the color chart immediately
Read the pH value from the chart or device
Test when you are not menstruating for more accurate results
Avoid testing right after sex, douching, or using vaginal medications
Avoid using the test if you have visible blood or heavy discharge unless instructed by the product
