Update your iPhone to iOS 18 or later

Tap Apps
Tap Messages
Turn on RCS Messaging
Make sure your carrier supports RCS
Make sure your carrier settings are up to date
Restart your iPhone if RCS does not appear
Check that the person you are messaging also has RCS support enabled on their carrier and device
