Keep it in bright, indirect light during the day
Maintain cool temperatures, ideally 50–65°F (10–18°C)
Reduce watering; let the top inch of soil dry before watering again
Stop fertilizing during the bud-setting period
Keep it slightly rootbound in a pot with good drainage
Avoid moving or rotating the plant once buds appear
Protect it from drafts, heat vents, and sudden temperature changes
Use a well-draining cactus or succulent potting mix
Resume normal care after flowering ends
