Drain the hose completely
Locate the leak, crack, or damaged section
Cut out the damaged section with a hose cutter or sharp utility knife
Install a hose repair connector or coupling
Tighten the clamps securely
Replace a damaged washer in the hose end fitting
Wrap small leaks with waterproof hose repair tape
Apply hose repair sealant for minor pinhole leaks
Replace a badly damaged hose end fitting
Test the hose for leaks
Replace the hose if the damage is extensive
