Wash feet daily with soap and water
Dry feet completely, especially between the toes
Apply an over-the-counter antifungal cream, spray, or powder
Use terbinafine, clotrimazole, or miconazole as directed on the label
Continue treatment for the full recommended time
Change socks at least once a day, or more if sweaty
Wear breathable shoes and avoid tight footwear
Rotate shoes to let them dry out fully
Use antifungal powder in shoes and on feet
Avoid walking barefoot in public showers, pools, and locker rooms
Keep feet cool and dry
Trim toenails and keep them clean
Do not share towels, socks, or shoes
Wash towels, socks, and bedding in hot water
See a doctor if it is severe, spreading, painful, infected, or not improving after 2 weeks
