If the blister opens, do not remove the skin flap
Apply an antibiotic ointment if the blister has opened and the skin is raw
Watch for signs of infection such as redness, warmth, swelling, pus, or increasing pain
Seek medical care if the blister is large, very painful, infected, caused by burns, or if you have diabetes or poor circulation
