Remove mushrooms by hand and dispose of them in a sealed bag
Mow the lawn regularly
Rake up leaves, grass clippings, and other organic debris
Reduce excess watering
Water early in the day and only when needed
Improve drainage in wet areas
Aerate compacted soil
Remove rotting wood, stumps, and buried roots
Dethatch the lawn if thatch is thick
Increase sunlight by trimming overhanging branches
Fix leaking sprinklers or irrigation systems
Keep pets and children away from mushrooms until removed
Apply a fungicide only if needed and according to label directions
