Turn off the weed eater and disconnect the spark plug or battery
Remove the trimmer head cover
Take out the spool
Remove any old string
Cut the new trimmer line to the correct length
Insert the string into the spool holes or slots
Wind the string evenly in the direction shown on the spool
Leave the ends of the string at the recommended length
Thread the ends through the eyelets in the trimmer head
Reinstall the spool into the head
Replace the cover and lock it in place
Pull the string ends to confirm they feed correctly
Reconnect the spark plug or battery before use
