Drink plenty of water and warm fluids

Use an over-the-counter pain reliever if needed
Use an over-the-counter decongestant if safe for you
Avoid smoke, alcohol, and strong odors
Use a humidifier or keep air moist
Seek medical care if symptoms are severe, worsening, or last more than 10 days
