Sweep or rinse the concrete to remove loose dirt
Wet the stained area with clean water
Apply a rust remover made for concrete
Let it sit for the product’s recommended time
Scrub the stain with a stiff nylon brush
Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water
Repeat if needed
For light stains, apply white vinegar or lemon juice, let sit, scrub, and rinse
For stubborn stains, use oxalic acid or a commercial rust remover labeled safe for concrete
Test any cleaner on a small hidden area first
Wear gloves and eye protection
Avoid using metal brushes or harsh acids that can damage concrete
Pressure wash after treatment if needed
Seal the concrete after it dries to help prevent future stains
