Let the glue dry completely
Scrape off excess glue gently with a dull knife or spoon
Place the fabric in the freezer for 30 to 60 minutes if possible
Flex the fabric to crack and loosen the glue
Soak the stained area in warm soapy water
Apply acetone-based nail polish remover to a hidden spot first to test for damage
Dab acetone on the glue stain with a cotton ball or cloth
Gently lift the softened glue with a dull edge
Wash the clothing according to the care label
Repeat the treatment if needed
Do not use acetone on acetate, rayon, silk, or other delicate fabrics
Air-dry the clothing before checking whether the stain is fully removed
