Locate and mark wall studs
Measure and mark the cabinet height line
Find the cabinet top or bottom reference line
Draw a level horizontal line on the wall
Install a temporary support ledger board
Remove cabinet doors and shelves if needed
Drill pilot holes through the cabinet back or hanging rail
Lift the cabinet onto the ledger board
Align the cabinet with the layout lines
Fasten the cabinet to the studs with cabinet screws
Check for level and plumb
Shim behind the cabinet if needed
Tighten all screws securely
Hang adjacent cabinets and clamp them together
Screw cabinets together through the face frames or sides
Reinstall doors and shelves
Remove the ledger board
Patch any visible holes if necessary
