Do not microwave eggs in the shell
Crack eggs into a microwave-safe bowl or mug
Add a little water to cover the eggs
Pierce the yolks with a fork or toothpick
Cover the bowl loosely with a microwave-safe plate or lid
Microwave on medium power in short intervals
Stir or check the eggs between intervals
Stop when the eggs are fully set
Let them sit for a minute before handling
Drain carefully and season if desired
