Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan
Cover eggs with cold water by about 1 inch
Bring water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat
Once boiling, turn off the heat and cover the pan
Let eggs sit in the hot water for 10 to 12 minutes
Drain the hot water
Transfer eggs to an ice bath for 5 to 10 minutes
Peel the eggs once fully cooled
Slice and use for deviled eggs
