How to Hold a Table Tennis Racquet?

Step 1

Hold the racquet with a relaxed grip

Step 2

Place the index finger on one side of the handle

Step 3

Wrap the thumb around the opposite side of the handle

Step 4

Keep the remaining fingers around the handle

Step 5

Do not grip too tightly

Step 6

Keep the wrist flexible

Step 7

Align the blade comfortably with your forearm

Step 8

Use a shakehand grip or penhold grip

Step 9

Keep the grip consistent during play
