Turn off and unplug the drill
Open the chuck by turning it counterclockwise or using the chuck key
Insert the drill bit straight into the chuck
Center the bit so it sits evenly
Tighten the chuck by turning it clockwise or using the chuck key
Make sure the bit is secure and does not wobble
Reconnect the power or insert the battery before use
