Read the stove fan manufacturer’s instructions
Make sure the stove is cool before starting
Clean the top of the stove surface
Place the stove fan on a flat, stable area of the stove
Position it away from the flue pipe and other hot spots
Check that the fan blades can spin freely
Ensure the fan is level and secure
If the fan uses a heat sensor, place it according to the manual
Verify the fan starts automatically as the stove heats up
Adjust the fan position if needed for better airflow
Keep the fan away from children and pets
Remove the fan after the stove has fully cooled if required by the manufacturer
