Download the Linux ISO image from the official distribution website
Create a bootable USB drive using Rufus, balenaEtcher, or the `dd` command
Back up important data from the target computer
Insert the bootable USB drive into the computer
Restart the computer and open the boot menu or BIOS/UEFI settings
Set the USB drive as the first boot device
Save changes and reboot into the Linux installer
Choose the language, keyboard layout, and installation type
Select disk partitioning options
Create or confirm partitions if needed
Choose the target disk for installation
Set the timezone, username, and password
Start the installation process
Wait for the installation to complete
Remove the USB drive when prompted
Reboot into the installed Linux system
Log in and update the system packages
