How To Install Stainmaster LVP?

Acclimate the Stainmaster LVP in the room for the time recommended by the manufacturer

Remove existing flooring, baseboards, and trim as needed

Clean the subfloor thoroughly

Check that the subfloor is flat, dry, and structurally sound

Repair any cracks, holes, or uneven areas in the subfloor

Install underlayment if required by the product instructions

Plan the layout and determine the starting wall

Measure the room and snap reference lines if needed

Leave the required expansion gap around all walls and fixed objects

Cut the first row of planks to fit if necessary

Install the first row with the tongue or groove facing the correct direction per the locking system

Lock each plank together according to the manufacturer’s click-lock method

Stagger end joints between rows

Continue installing rows across the room

Cut planks to fit around door jambs, vents, and other obstacles

Use a tapping block or pull bar only if approved for the product

Trim the last row to fit while maintaining the expansion gap

Reinstall baseboards, quarter-round, or trim without pinning the floor

Install transition strips at doorways or flooring changes as needed

Clean the floor after installation
