Crush them with a shoe, paper towel, or fly swatter
Vacuum them up and empty the vacuum contents into a sealed bag
Knock them into a bucket of soapy water
Spray them directly with insecticidal soap
Use a pesticide labeled for lanternflies, following the label directions exactly
Scrape off and destroy egg masses
Remove and destroy nymphs and adults from plants and surfaces
Seal or bag captured insects before disposing of them
Report large infestations to your local agricultural or extension office
