Measure the area and calculate how much artificial grass you need
Remove existing grass, weeds, stones, and debris
Dig out the area to the required depth
Install edging if needed to keep the turf in place
Add a sub-base of crushed stone or hardcore
Compact the sub-base thoroughly
Add a layer of sharp sand or granite dust if required
Level and smooth the surface
Lay weed membrane over the prepared base
Roll out the artificial grass and let it settle
Trim the turf to fit the area
Join seams with joining tape and adhesive if needed
Secure the edges with nails, staples, or adhesive
Brush the grass fibers upright with a stiff broom
Add infill if the product requires it
Check for loose edges, gaps, or uneven sections
Water lightly if needed to settle the infill
