Gather materials: white paper, pencil, ruler, scissors, eraser (optional), glue or tape (optional)
Fold a square sheet of paper into thirds (or thirds and then in half) to form a triangle with a pointed tip
Crease folds sharply and align edges
Draw a simple outline of a snowflake pattern on the folded paper using pencil
Add cut lines for branches and holes, keeping cuts mostly toward the outer edges and tip
Carefully cut along the drawn lines with scissors
Unfold the paper to reveal the snowflake shape
If desired, trim uneven edges and reinforce fragile points with a small amount of glue
Optional: repeat with additional sheets for a set of snowflakes in different sizes and patterns
