Start with a square sheet of paper.
Fold the paper in half diagonally.
Unfold it.
Fold the paper in half diagonally the other way.
Unfold it.
Fold the paper in half horizontally.
Unfold it.
Fold the paper in half vertically.
Unfold it.
Bring the four corners toward the center.
Flatten the paper into a smaller square.
Fold one outer edge of the square toward the center line.
Repeat on the other sides as needed to form points.
Fold and tuck the flaps to shape the star.
Press all creases firmly.
Adjust the points until the star is even.
