1 cup unsalted butter, softened
3 to 4 cups powdered sugar
2 to 4 tablespoons milk or heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Beat the butter until smooth and creamy
Add powdered sugar gradually and mix well
Add vanilla extract and salt
Add milk or cream one tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached
Beat until light and fluffy
Use immediately or store covered in the refrigerator
