How to Make Catsup?

Gather ripe tomatoes, onion, garlic, vinegar, sugar, salt, and spices

Wash and chop the tomatoes

Cook the tomatoes, onion, and garlic until soft

Blend or mash the mixture until smooth

Strain the mixture to remove skins and seeds

Return the strained mixture to the pot

Add vinegar, sugar, salt, and spices

Simmer until thickened

Stir occasionally to prevent sticking

Taste and adjust seasoning

Cool the catsup

Store in a clean, sealed container in the refrigerator
