How To Make Empanada Dough?

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup cold butter or shortening, cut into pieces

1 egg

1/2 cup cold water

1 tablespoon vinegar

Mix the flour and salt in a bowl

Cut in the butter or shortening until crumbly

Beat the egg with the cold water and vinegar

Add the liquid to the flour mixture

Stir until a dough forms

Knead briefly until smooth

Wrap and rest the dough for 30 minutes

Roll out and use for empanadas
