Call emergency services immediately
Turn on the AED
Expose the person’s chest
Attach the AED pads to the bare chest as shown on the pads
Make sure no one is touching the person
Let the AED analyze the heart rhythm
If the AED says to shock, make sure everyone is clear
Press the shock button if instructed
Resume CPR immediately after the shock or if no shock is advised
Follow the AED prompts until emergency help arrives or the person wakes up and breathes normally
