Gather gum base
Add powdered sugar or sweetener
Add corn syrup or glucose syrup
Add flavoring
Add food coloring if desired
Melt the gum base gently
Mix in the sweetener and syrup
Stir in the flavoring and coloring
Knead the mixture until smooth
Roll out the gum
Cut into pieces
Let the pieces cool and set
Wrap or store the gum in an airtight container
