Start with two square sheets of paper
Fold each sheet in half to make a rectangle
Unfold and cut or tear along the fold to make two equal rectangles
Fold each rectangle in half lengthwise
Fold the top corners inward to the center line
Fold the bottom corners inward to the center line
Fold each piece in half along the center line
Make one piece into a left-facing shape and the other into a right-facing shape
Place one piece on top of the other at a right angle
Tuck the ends of each piece into the pockets of the other
Tighten the folds to lock the shape
Adjust the points so the star is even and flat
