How to Make Pot Pie Crust?

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed

6 to 8 tablespoons ice water

Mix flour and salt in a bowl

Cut in the cold butter until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs

Add ice water one tablespoon at a time

Mix just until the dough comes together

Divide the dough into two discs

Wrap the discs in plastic wrap

Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes

Roll out one disc on a floured surface

Place in the pie dish

Fill with pot pie filling

Roll out the second disc

Place over the filling

Trim and crimp the edges

Cut a few slits in the top crust

Bake as directed by your pot pie recipe
