Set Limit past posts to On
Adjust Audience and tagging
Set Who can see what others post on your profile to Friends (or Only me)
Set Review posts you’re tagged in before the post appears on your profile to On
Set Review tags people add to your posts before the tags appear on Facebook to On
Set Who can tag you to Friends (or Only me)
Set Who can see tag recommendations when you’re tagged to Friends (or No one, if available)
Control profile visibility
Go to Profile and tagging
Set Who can see your profile picture to Friends (or Only me)
Set Who can see your cover photo to Friends (or Only me)
Control personal info visibility
Go to Settings
Select Privacy
Use Profile information to choose visibility for items like email, phone, birthday, workplace, education, and hometown (set to Friends or Only me)
Manage contact info
Go to About
Edit each section and set audience to Friends or Only me
Limit message and contact access
Go to Settings
Select Public posts
Set Who can follow you to Friends (or Only me, if available)
Go to Settings
Select Blocking
Block accounts you don’t want to interact with
Control ad and data sharing
Go to Settings
Select Ads and then Ad settings
Turn off ad personalization options where available
Turn off off-Facebook activity sharing where available
Restrict apps and websites
Go to Settings
Select Apps and websites
Remove apps you don’t use
Set App visibility to Only me (or Friends, if desired)
Review login and security
Go to Settings
Select Security and login
Turn on Two-Factor Authentication
Check where you’re logged in and remove unknown sessions
Use Activity Log
Go to Activity Log
Review and remove old posts, tags, and interactions you don’t want public
Check Public visibility
Search your name on Facebook
Adjust anything visible to Public by changing audience settings to Friends or Only me
