Cook 1 pound of breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned
Break the sausage into crumbles while cooking
Sprinkle 1/4 cup all-purpose flour over the cooked sausage
Stir and cook the flour for 1 to 2 minutes
Slowly pour in 2 to 3 cups milk while stirring constantly
Cook until the gravy thickens, about 3 to 5 minutes
Season with salt and black pepper to taste
Add more milk if the gravy is too thick
Serve hot over warm biscuits
