How To Make Tacos?

Gather ingredients: tortillas, taco filling (chicken, beef, pork, beans, or veggies), onion, cilantro, salsa, lime, shredded cheese, sour cream or crema, salt, pepper, taco seasoning

Prep toppings: chop onion and cilantro, slice limes, measure cheese and sour cream

Cook the filling:

Beef/pork: brown in a skillet with oil, drain excess fat, add taco seasoning and a splash of water, simmer until thick

Chicken: cook diced or shredded chicken in a skillet with seasoning and a splash of water, simmer until coated

Beans/vegetables: sauté onion and vegetables, season well, add beans if using, heat through

Warm tortillas:

Heat in a dry skillet 15–30 seconds per side, or

Wrap in foil and warm in the oven at 350°F/175°C for 8–10 minutes

Assemble tacos:

Add filling to each tortilla

Top with onion, cilantro, salsa, cheese, and a squeeze of lime

Add sour cream or crema if desired

Serve immediately

Optional: add hot sauce, pickled jalapeños, or guacamole
