How To Make Vanilla Bean Paste?

Split 6 vanilla beans lengthwise and scrape out the seeds

Chop the empty pods into small pieces

Combine the seeds and pods with 1/2 cup granulated sugar and 1/2 cup light corn syrup

Add 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Add 1 to 2 tablespoons water if needed to help blend

Blend or process until thick and smooth

Transfer to a clean airtight jar

Store in the refrigerator

Stir before each use
