Gather yarn, scissors, and a pom pom maker, cardboard template, or two fingers
Wrap yarn around the maker, template, or fingers until thick
Cut the yarn from the skein
Tie a tight piece of yarn around the center
Remove the wrapped yarn from the maker, template, or fingers
Cut through the loops on both sides
Fluff the pom pom with your hands
Trim uneven strands into a round shape
Repeat for additional pom poms
