Gather ribbon, scissors, a ruler, a lighter or fray check, thread or floral wire, and a hair tie or clip
Cut two equal lengths of wide ribbon for the bow loops
Cut one shorter piece of ribbon for the center wrap
Cut one narrow piece of ribbon for the tail if desired
Seal the ribbon ends to prevent fraying
Form each wide ribbon piece into a loop
Cross the loop ends in the center
Stack the loops to create a bow shape
Pinch the center tightly
Wrap thread or floral wire around the center to secure the bow
Tie off or twist the fastening tightly
Wrap the center with the shorter ribbon piece
Secure the center wrap with glue or stitching
Attach the hair tie or clip to the back
Trim the tails evenly if needed
Fluff and adjust the loops for shape
Repeat with additional ribbon layers if a fuller bow is desired
