Stand straight with your arms relaxed at your sides
Wrap a flexible measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest
Keep the tape level all the way around your torso
Position the tape under your armpits and across your shoulder blades
Make sure the tape is snug but not tight
Breathe normally while taking the measurement
Read the measurement in inches or centimeters where the tape overlaps
Repeat the measurement once or twice to confirm accuracy
