How to Pack Pictures for Moving?

Gather packing supplies: picture boxes, cardboard sheets, bubble wrap, packing paper, tape, corner protectors, and markers

Clean and dry each picture before packing

Remove pictures from walls and take out loose hardware

Wrap each picture individually in packing paper

Add bubble wrap over the paper for extra protection

Protect corners with cardboard or corner protectors

Place a cardboard sheet between multiple framed pictures

Tape wrapping securely without touching the picture surface

Pack pictures vertically in a sturdy box or picture carton

Fill empty spaces with crumpled paper or foam to prevent shifting

Keep heavier and larger frames at the bottom or along the sides

Do not stack too many pictures flat on top of each other

Mark the box as Fragile and This Side Up

Keep picture boxes away from moisture and extreme heat

Transport valuable or irreplaceable artwork separately if possible
